Locatie: Ahoy, Rotterdam, Netherlands
Perioada: 03 Noiembrie 2009 - 06 Noiembrie 2009
From 3 until 6 November 2009 all sectors of the shipbuilding industry are brought together at Europort in Ahoy Rotterdam: inland navigation, sea shipping, dredging, offshore, construction vessels, workboats, naval specials, mega yachts and fishery. For four days professionals of leading maritime companies meet in Rotterdam, the maritime capital of Europe.
Advanced Technology: imagination becoming reality The focus of Europort 2009 will be on advanced technology. Newest technologies are aimed at keeping up the pace with increasingly demanding maritime markets. The Netherlands is home to a wide variety of maritime disciplines, from world class shipyards to innovative suppliers, and excels in complex shipbuilding, high-quality technologies and engineering. Therefore Europort, situated in the heart of the port of Rotterdam, is the ultimate maritime exhibition hosting a complete overview of the latest technologies for the maritime industry. In addition, the theme ‘advanced technology’ will also be represented within the complementary programme of conferences and seminars. International perspective Approximately one third of all Europort exhibitors come from outside The Netherlands. The true share of international participants at the exhibition is even higher than this figure suggests as many Dutch traders, importers and agents represent international products at the exhibition. Europort has a network of international sales agents around the world and recently contracted new agents in France, Italy, Russia, USA, Vietnam, the Middle East & India. As a result Europort is expected to become even more international in 2009. Meanwhile national pavilions from China, Korea, Poland, Romania and Spain have already been announced. Seminar programme During Europort 2009 there will be several conferences, seminars and annual meetings of maritime organisations. The Central Dredging Association will once again hold its trademark conference, CEDA Dredging Days, in conjunction with Europort. Theme for the 2009 edition of the conference is ‘Dredging tools for the future’. The conference, accompanied by a specialist dredging exhibition, will take place on 5 and 6 November 2009 in the Conference Centre of Ahoy Rotterdam. About Europort Europort has a long history. It started in 1963 and merged with Rotterdam Maritime in 2004. The exhibition has been organised twice as Europort Maritime and from now on is called “Europort”. Europort takes place in one of the largest ports of the world - Rotterdam. With a total exhibition space of 40,000 m2 divided over 10 halls, Europort has evolved into the second largest international maritime exhibition in the world. The previous edition of Europort (November 2007) attracted 835 exhibitors and over 31,500 visitors. Europort also is the flagship to other international maritime exhibitions in Istanbul, Qatar and Romania. For more information see: www.europort.nl.
