A message from the Chairman, Nicky Pappadakis Dear Colleague,
This international Maritime Security conference organised by Informa Maritime Events comes at a timely moment, in light of today's heightened concern about threats to the safety and security of ships and their crews.
It is with great pleasure that I will chair what promises to be a stimulating as well as a necessary event.
The programme that the organisers have put together spans the key maritime security issues that are faced by our industry today, ranging from the resurgence of piracy to the modern threat of terrorism. In addition, speakers will brief us on the disciplines and strategies required to mitigate the risks both on the high seas and in the world's ports.
I look forward to seeing you at this important international meeting here in Athens and to learning the latest intelligence, policy positions and practical advice from a first-class panel of speakers.
Yours sincerely
Nicky Pappadakis,
Chairman, Intercargo
