The 31st Annual Motorship Propulsion & Emissions Conference takes place on the 26 & 27 May 2009 in the historic maritime city of Copenhagen, Denmark. The conference is once again supported by BIMCO, the world's largest private shipping organization and SEAaT, The Shipping Emissions and Abatement Society. The Conference Chairman is John Aitken, The Secretary General of SEAaT.
The event has been held annually in a major European city since 1977. Now in its 31st successful year, it is recognised as the most important and informative seminar for the global shipping industry.
The theme for the 2009 Conference is 'Saving fuel for lower costs and lower emissions.' Over thirty high calibre papers, presented by industry experts, will be delivered over two days. These will cover key topics such as environmental issues, clean fuels, tackling the carbon issue, advances in propulsion systems and shipowners' perspectives on new maritime innovations and regulations.
The social programme for delegates, sponsors and speakers includes an amazing networking dinner at Solyst, home of the Royal Copenhagen Shooting Society and a visit to the MAN Diesel House Museum, organised and sponsored by leading engine manufacturer MAN Diesel.
