A group of Japanese researches have come up with a car seat that can detect when its occupant is about to fall asleep. Presented during the Geneva Auto Show, the life-saving technology is currently still in prototype form but may eventually appear as mandatory equipment in vehicles, putting an end to accidents involving a driver who has fallen asleep behind the wheel. The idea of shifting low-cost flights from Baneasa to Alexeni, nearly 60 km away from Bucharest, caused many negative reactions last month, both from airlines and tour operators. Baneasa airport authorities didn’t make much noise about the plan, knowing that their runway will swallow 18 million Euros this year for renovation projects, and the money might be better spent elsewhere if most of the current flights will be moved. Pana si sefii aeroportului Baneasa au facut comentarii rezervate privind transferul zborurilor low-cost in pustietatea Baraganului, la vreo 60 de kilometri de Bucuresti. E si normal sa fie rezervati: pista de la Baneasa va inghiti in acest an 18 milioane de Euro, bani care ar fi putut fi directionati spre alte prioritati daca intr-adevar aeroportul va deveni unul secundar, dedicat zborurilor scumpe, de afaceri.
