Pricier rail transport, by law
In a release from the two NGOs the Railway Industry Association in Romania and the Rail Transporters Association (AIF and ATFER, in Romanian) express their discontents towards the additional act to the activity contract of the National Railway Company for 2008-2011 from the Ministry of Transports and Infrastructure.   [ continuare ]



Lower costs for insurers
The Insurances Supervisory Commission decided last month to slash the contribution of the insurance companies and insurance brokers for the operating tax to 0,3% (from 0,4%) and the rate of contribution additional to the compulsory vehicle insurance to 1% (from 1,1%).   [ continuare ]



Transport Ministry wants trucks on trains
The Ministry of Transports and Infrastructure has launched a new project inspired by the European transport, which implies that high tonnage vehicles should be loaded in special trains to be transported by rail.   [ continuare ]



Cargo Trans Vagon puts on rails the first state of the art locomotives in Romania
