RBT editia nr. 25/Noiembrie 2008 Articol adaugata la, 02 Noiembrie 2008 ( RBT )
Afisari: 296

A medium term strategy on decentralization in the Ministry of Transport has been approved under the decision of the Government in September. The strategy proposes a series of measures aimed at strengthening local self-government by strengthening the process of privatization of the Ministry of Transport and outsourcing certain powers to the local public administration authorities and the private sector.

Administrative decentralization strategy has several objectives in mind: diminishing the scope of intervention by central administration and close decision, services’ planning and execution, in accordance with the principle of subsidiary, reducing administrative tasks and reducing state shareholdings (privatization companies), strengthening central government - local government partnership (for projects of national / regional development). It is also expected to transfer to the local public administration authorities the power management companies which are operating in the urban / local area: SC Transport subway in Bucharest Metrorex SA, SN Timisoara InternationalAirport - Traian Vuia SA, Autonomous Administration “Free Zone Administration Sulina.”
