A report issued by Directorate-General for Energy and Transport estimates a 25% increase for Romania’s airports traffic this summer.
Aircraft movements will grow rather more slowly at 16%. This reflects the increase in average aircraft size from 80 seats per flight in 2006 to 87 seats in 2007, which the use of typically 150-seat aircraft by LCCs contributes to.Passengers wanting to travel between Rome and Bucharest this summer will have a surprising amount of choice as Blue Air, MyAir and Wizz Air will fly between Rome Ciampino and Bucharest Baneasa, SkyEurope will fly between Rome Fiumicino and Bucharest Baneasa and Alitalia and Tarom will operate between Rome Fiumicino and Bucharest Otopeni.
