The project’s main objective is maritime competitiveness and cooperation development in this area, between Romania and Norway, through equipment purchasing, to improve marine education, students and teachers exchange, joint masters programs and a business incubator development. At the incubator, a know-how Norwegian transfer will be pursued, and financial and logistical support will be given, to support innovative ideas in the maritime and port sector.
Launching the competition for business ideas will be made through the local media, specialized publications and project’s website, www.ronomar.ro.
After the evaluation of the ideas, by a group of experts from Romania and Norway, the most valuables proposals will be supported up to turning into successful businesses. Therefore, the incubator will provide:
• An office in a modern building situated in a central area of Constanta
• Administrative and technical services
• Access to international partners
• Access to private investors financing
• Business plans developments
• Managerial and entrepreneurial training
• Monitoring / coaching
• Marketing
RoNoMar has a 4,7 million Euros budget, out of which the Norwegian State’s contribution, through the Innovation Norway Company, is of four million euros. Due to this budget, RoNoMar may be considered the biggest integrated maritime project, implemented by Norway in partnership with another country.
