Prof. Radu Pencea analyses ways to corect the ever increasing account balance deficit. He sees transport services as a solution to cash-in foreign money, and thus turn the balance of services to a positive trend.
”The National Prognosis Comission estimates that by the end of last year the account balance deficit reached 11% of GDP. This deficit is based on the highly unbalanced trade, with exports surpassing imports by 11.7 billion Euros. To stop the increase of the trade deficit, actions are needed in all economy sectors. The need to react is important especially if one takes into consideration the fact that Romanian GDP will grow by 6.5% in each of the following years, mostly because of a consumption hungry market.“ notes Prof. Pencea.
