COOPERATION IN SHIP TRANSPORT EDUCATION

Organized with the support of Savski Venac Municipality and hosted by the Sailing School in Belgrade, the second meeting of partners in the NELI project was held in the last day of October. NELI - Network for logistics and nautical education focusing on inland waterways, aims at reaching informal networking and coordination mechanisms in terms of training staff in the field of river navigation.

To this end, the consortium involved in the project a well-balanced group of heterogeneous organizations that can promote and implement innovative solutions for education and training in the inland waterway transport.

NELI project, whose implementation will have an impact particularly on the Danube riverside communities, is being carried out under the transnational cooperation for southeastern Europe, Priority axis 1, Major intervention Scope 1.3. They meet the need of implementing a comprehensive strategy and common policy by involving all relevant organizations in the education and training in transport on inland waterways (universities and vocational training), technology (e-contents and e-learning) and government (decision makers at the political level) of Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania and Ukraine.
