Come September, the car park renewal programme (so-called ”Rabla“ programme) can be accessed by the companies too, for the purchase of less than 3,5 tonnes vehicles.

The Environment Ministry announced this measure early last month, as a state aid scheme for three years. Thus, by 2011, companies may buy 60.000 vehicles in the programme, out of which 10.000 may be bought between September and December 11th. The dismantling bonus received by the companies that scrap their cars for new ones is the same as for natural persons - 3.800 RON.

”In the legal persons’ case, things twist to the European legislation. Thus, they must apply the «de minimis» state aid scheme, and that is possible in several stages,“ said Nicolae Nemirschi, Environment minister, adding that the state aid for the firms under the program will reach 54-55 million lei in three years.
