To Romanian transporters associations - APTE 2002 and FORT - have published a memorandum which exposes bad Hungarian regulation in the field of transports. The document is addressed to the European Commissioner for Transport, Antonio Tajani, to the Romanian minister of Transports and Infrastructure and to the Permanent Romania’s Representative for the EU and its main scope is to force Hungarian authorities to rewrite the regulations in the transport field in a way that prevents future abuses.

eThe reason for this is the claimed inhuman treatment to which the carriers are submitted beginning with 2007, when transiting Hungary. For example, as the memorandum reads, according to the EU principles, the authorities in charge with applying the European regulations in inspecting the lawfulness of the carriers' activity must develop their duties efficiently, in a competitive limit, without discrimination and proportionally in terms of penalties. According to APTE 2002 and FORT, the problem is that Hungarian authorities infringe the regulations and apply a discriminatory treatment to Romanian transport operators when transiting the Hungarian territory, as, for example, the border with Romania appears to be the main check point.
