At the Romanian Hospitality Forum, representatives of air and tourism operators stated upon means of accessing European funds from employers’ transporters associations. It is important to know that the transport companies cannot ask for financials, only the NGOs or the public authorities are enabled to use the funds.
For example, financing for promoting new destinations or tourist products (a new air route, the launch of a city-break package) may be obtained through such a partnership.
For the Operational Regional Program, in 2007-2013 a sum of 4,5 billions Euros is available, out of which 84% represents EU’s financing, 14% public co-financing and 2% private financing.
