European funds for human resources

RBT editia nr. 17/Martie 2008 Articol adaugata la, 05 Martie 2008 ( RBT )
Afisari: 191

From February 15th, the Romanian institutions and companies dispose of a new financing source of the projects regarding human resources development - the European Social Fund, and an additional national program - The Sectorial Operational Program for Human Resources Development (POS DRU for short in Romanian).

The solicitors may fill the financing requests online, on the www.fseromania.ro website, and starting from the call registration, the contract may be signed in less then a month.

The financing calls cannot exceed 5 millions Euros and there are some selection criteria to be accomplished, such as: project’s relevance, methodology, validity and cost-efficiency.

POS DRU was approved in November last year, and it is co-financed by the Romanian Government and by the EU, from 2007 to 2013, with a total budget amounting to 4,253 billion Euros.

The officials say that the priorities for POS DRU are ”promoting the life-long learning and the work-force and enterprises adaptability“, ”promoting the active occupation measurements for the unemployed population, especially for those employees in the subsistence farming, young and long time unemployed, together with the insertion on the work force market and social inclusion of vulnerable groups“.
