There are Romanian forwarders who have started from a turnover of several thousand euros and reached millions in a few years. The key to this success seems to be seriousness, foreign languages command, computer and communication skills, and for some, a FIATA Diploma. From some of the employers’ point of view, the employee’s international recognition by the FIATA Diploma is a clear advantage, while some other forwarding companies see it as a drawback in ”shaping“ the personnel they intend to work with. ”In order to receive the FIATA Diploma, one has to graduate an online course which represents an opportunity to acquire knowledge in the field of freight forwarding,“ stated PhD Assoc. Alexandru Petrescu, president of the USER FIATA TrainingCenter. The fact that the course structure is online makes it accessible to many applicants. Each of the four modules should take no more than a month to be completed, before the face-to-face evaluation.
