Professor Radu Pencea, notes that this year has begun with anti-crisis packages as the new top priorities for governments allover the world and argues that investing in infrastructure - and transport infrastructure above all - is the most important anti-crisis measure to be taken by the Romanian Government.

According to Professor Pencea money spent on transport infrastructure not only means keeping jobs in the construction industry, which was badly hit by the credit crunch, but also helps reducing the costs of Romanian goods, which should help exports to remain competitive.
