In his first speech in front of the MEP`s in Strasbourg, on June 16th, Tajani focused on the importance of promoting a competitive, high quality transport politics based on four main axes: mobility, citizen and environment protection, innovation and international approach. Tajani has already expressed his concern regarding the continuous fuel raise in price.

Amongst Tajani`s priorities, there are the rapid development of pan- European transport networks (TEN-T), the adoption of some measures to make the transports environmentally friendly, the improvement of the road and maritime transport, passenger rights observance, unification of the aerial transit management and setting into operation the Galileo satellite positioning system.
