Earlier in September last year, it was reported that 23 companies have shown interest in the tender, out of which only three submitted bids in November. Bulgarian media reports that KG Maritime Shipping - owner of the German company Martrade Shipping Transport - is the only bidder that fulfilled the conditions set up by the Privatization Agency.
Sources close to the privatization process estimate that the price for 70% of the total Navibulgar shares could exceed 350 million Euros. Navibulgar owns 77 cargo ships.
