Gebrüder Weiss Romania opted to relocate all its Bucharest divisions in this new terminal, except for Air & Sea, from the end of April. The operational base is equipped with 15 entrance ramps and 14 exit ramps, both with covered docks and two side loading ramps. The storage space has 12 meters free height and three meters wide corridors, with internal and external non-stop video monitoring and electronically controlled access. ”The new terminal is one of the most modern facilities of its kind in Romania, in terms of the organization of goods, people and information flows,“ said Viorel Leca, general manager of Gebrüder Weiss Romania.
In spite of the unfavourable economical situation, the company’s objective for this year is to up its revenues from the 14,5 million Euros of last year. While company representatives said that Gebrüder Weiss is also affected by the crisis, they announced an ambitious plan of investments in Central and Eastern Europe: 34 million Euros this year, and 100 million by 2011.
