QUALIFICATION IN THE PACE OF THE TRAIN

While previously rail staff used to be trained using old-fashioned, conventional methods, nowadays things have radically changed. Comparatively, the Training Program for Continuous Qualification, organized by National Center for Rail Training and Qualification (CENAFER, in Romanian) makes simulations using hi-tech technology, such as computers, video projectors and so many others, to improve the trainees’ knowledge.

The need for modernization made CENAFER improve its contacts with other similar authorities abroad. The Railway Qualification Center Baross Gábor in Hungry is one of them, with which we’ve been trying to reach common teaching methods for a better staff. The courses, based on Lisbon declaration, includes necessary information on the routes, rules and exploitation procedures, signaling, control and order system, emergency procedures applied for the exploited routes, technical specifications for the interoperability, on safety national rules, rolling stock engine or towed about lines or plants. Debated with the beneficiaries in advance (transport operators, public infrastructure manager), the 30 qualification programs in the rail transport go as follows: admission exam, theoretical courses, training, practice exams for graduation, the issue of a certificate of professional qualification.
