Professor Radu Pencea writes about the economic recovery expected this year in Romania and argues that the only way to bounce back from the huge contraction of last year is to encourage investments.

These are due to come from the state, the local business environment or from the foreign companies and would be encouraged by efforts to ensure a better mobility of goods and services traffic. Prof. Pencea states that an increase in exports would respond to current needs that Romania might encounter during its recovery. But this export based growth needs a more attractive environment, which cannot be achieved other than through great efforts and investments from the state.

And the most important amongst the investment fields appears to be the transport infrastructure, as there is a crying need for efficient timing, in any industry whether the heavy one or the light one. Seamless transport services would be the solution to more competitive products and services.
