Auto service providers said in a press release that the insurer requires them to buy car parts from a single accepted supplier, which breaks a law banning insurance companies to deal with any other activity except insurance.
Omniasig, Romania’s second largest insurer in 2008, denied ASSAI’s allegations, stating that buying car parts from a single accepted supplier was decided in order to get better prices, in the interest of customers.
