Romavia puts forth one million Dollars to cover its fleet

At the end of this month, air operator Romavia will auction the fleet insurance contract for 2010. The estimated value of the contract which will be assigned on November 30th is between 900.000 to 1.1 million Dollars, less than the sum spent in 2009 to ensure the two BAC 1-11 aircrafts, the two BAe models 146-200 and one Boeing 707.

The Romavia aircrafts and the company’s liability towards the third parties in the aviation activities have been ensured in recent years, including 2009, by the Astra Insurances. Leader on the aviation insurance market in Romania, Astra was the only company that took part at the auction organized by Romavia in December 2008. Following last year’s auction, Romavia paid 1,2 million Dollars for a guaranteed amount of 520 million Dollars.
