RBT editia nr. 17/Martie 2008 Articol adaugata la, 05 Martie 2008 ( RBT )
Afisari: 253

State-owned CFR Marfa will form a joint venture with Servtrans Invest and International Railway Systems aiming at repairing and modernizing worn-out rolling stock.

According to a CFR Marfa press release, the state company’s participation in the association will consist in rolling stock contribution, while private partners will offer the capital needed to refurbish the railcars. In fact, the company will work similarly to the association between CFR Marfa, GFR and Raiffeisen Bank.

For the moment, the initiative of constituting a CFR Marfa-Servtrans Invest-IRS joint venture is still in the incipient stage, of feasibility study, but the private partners of CFR Marfa hope that the new joint should become operational in September.
