The main cause is the elimination of transport licences for international hauling. This is why transport services offer increased and the prices went down. In this conditions, buying a truck became an important investment and the option for one brand or another is now more than ever dictated by objective factors. A strong brand reputation is now overshadowed by service network prestige, just as the truck’s cheap price cannot win customers if the vehicle is a fuel guzzler.
