The freight forwarders` "Nobel prize',awarded to a Romanian

After the Nobel for Literature awarded to Herta Müller, Romania may be proud of a similar award in the freight forwarding business: Alina Wenzel was chosen Young Freight Forwarder of the Year at the FIATA World Congress which took at the end of September, in Geneva.

Alina Wenzel currently works for DB Schenker in Regensburg, Germany, and she sees her success as an unexpected recognition of her efforts: ”I was so surprised for winning this prize. Although I have been working hardly, the competition was really strong“.

The success at the FIATA Congress followed a long selection process, started Alina Wenzel was awarded a the transport and logistics prize in Germany. This qualified her to represent Germany in Europe. Eventually, she also triumphed amongst the five continental winners of the Young Freight Forwarder of the Year Award at the FIATA Congress.
