RBT editia nr. 29/Martie 2009 Articol adaugata la, 09 Martie 2009 ( RBT )
Afisari: 197

Romanian employees have a lot of things to complain about in their managers’ behaviour, according to a study conducted online. The survey entitled “What do you dislike about your boss?” organized by recruitment portal Myjob.ro, has revealed the main complaints of the employees: incompetence, indifference to subordinates’ needs, nervousness and overly critical spirit, hypocrisy, and smoking.

Over half of survey participants (57%) were mentioned as the chief issue annoying incompetence which means incapacity, lack of professionalism. Another complaint is related to the superficiality with which a boss treats his subordinates, by not paying enough attention, nor listening to one’s wishes or suggestions. Further more, according to their employees, many Romanian managers are bad-tempered and another reason for dissatisfaction is proven hypocrisy at work. This fault was highlighted by 18,3% of respondents to the survey. Specifically, employees believe that bosses are tough and authoritarian with the employees, but very easy-going with hierarchical superiors, make mistakes for which they blame the subordinates and fail to recognize facts.
