WHERE IS OUR MONEY? WELL IN SCHOOLS AND PENSIONS!

RBT editia nr. 21/Iulie 2008 Articol adaugata la, 02 Iulie 2008 ( RBT )
Afisari: 256

Varujan Vosganian, minister of Economy and Finances, promised last month 20 billion Euros for road and rail transport, from internal budgetary sources exclusively, by 2013.

Allocations are to start this month already and are aimed at building "1.000-1.500 km of highways". The first thing that sounds rather odd is that the named highway length doesn’t fit to that from the Ministry of Transports. Even more, according to Vosganian, the money for infrastructure will go to the projects proposed by ministries and local councils and no Ministry of Transport monopoly is ever named.

But oddity goes even further: for three months now, road transporters ask where is their money and now Vosganian suddenly comes with an unbelievable proposal, which shatters all expectations. The explanation for lack of money up to now is: the money went to schools and retirement allowances. Where on Earth did pupils, students, teachers, professors and retired people hide 4 billion Euros a year?! The whole 20 billion story sounds like another elective squib that will make some profiteers ready to turn the financing process in their favor. In the end, what hovers round and round is the unanswered dilemma: "Where is our money?".
